inlingua Telephoning is a business
English programme covering the language skills needed by people who frequently have to speak on the telephone in English.
The inlingua Telephoning Business Skills Module is offered at Level 1 (pre-Intermediate) and Level 2 (Intermediate). The Module is designed for students learning English and to complement the telephoning skills they already have.
Level 1 is 3 Units which can be covered in 15 hours by the student who already has a good basic knowledge of English. The focus is on communication skill. In Telephoning, these skills include preparing phone calls and taking and leaving messages as well as the usual parts of a typical call. There are up-to-date business scenarios. Each Unit helps you to learn the target language in an interesting way. You will build your bank of useful vocabulary and practise new expressions. Phone calls about many different topics and the different stages of a call are covered. The course can therefore be customised to suit a wide range of professional backgrounds. There are listening exercises. The course also deals with techniques for enhancing communication between non-native speakers.
Level 2 is 6 Units which can be covered in 30 hours by the student who is already lower Intermediate and above in ability. The last Unit provides a comprehensive review of the target language as well as more in-depth focus on the relevant business skills.
